Welcome to Butterfly & Bee Books

We are a family run children's book & gift shop inspired by nature and a love of stories in the cosy town of Thorpe-le-Soken in Essex, a small drive away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Frinton-on-sea.

 

A focus on sustainable, eco friendly, open ended toys is really important to us. Open ended toys allow children create their own play session, encouraging creativity, imagination and problem- solving skills

 

Our 3 young children, Harry, Amelia & Ava have made us fall in love with children's books again. Spending time sharing magical stories and finding out fascinating facts about the world and nature has been a favourite for us and all the children! 

 

As they grow it has taught us how truly important books can be and how wonderful it is to share this with them. Our three little book worms and their love of reading and learning have inspired us in creating Butterfly & Bee.

 

Together we have carefully curated a beautiful collection of books and gifts for babies to young children. Our cosy shop in Thorpe-Le-soken is a family friendly environment allowing children to experience the tactile nature of choosing a book.

 

We look forwarding to welcoming you all soon at Butterfly & Bee and perhaps even share a story and a cuddle with our book shop dog Teddy Bear.
